Oatmeal Horchata

This is a great lactation improving drink, easy and tasty!

  • Yields: 4 servings
Refreshing Drink


1 cup rolled oats

1 cinnamon stick, broken into tiny pieces

4 cups water

Sugar or maple syrup as needed


1In a large pitcher, soak the oats, cinnamon and water for a minimum of 30 minutes (I usually soak overnight in a covered pitcher).

2Blend the mixture (including the cinnamon) in a blender.

3Strain and sweeten with sugar or maple syrup to taste.

4Serve well-chilled or over ice.

Prep is only 3 minutes
